Building My New Bugout Bag - And Providing a Survival Items List
Where did you get a kydex for that?
get to the chopper.
I wish i could send my knives back to kabar to get them recoated with the original finish. I regret striping it off.
You have no friggin idea how to use a ferro rod.
quero um desse mas os que vendem aqui é produzido na china. trágico
Hi thank for your video , the vortex look very good . If you have tarnish on the a2 steel you can remove that with a metal polish . That work good with my bravo 1 in a2 . Ciao
👍🏻👍🏻
No offense but your angle on the ferro rod is why it wasn’t working
Been using this for over 5 years, it’s great
Great knife! Wish they'd make another run.
Outstanding skinning knife.
Its a beautiful knife and I love your choice of color for the handle!
That is a good looking knife Love from Mississippi USA 🇺🇸
That knife don't look any bigger than your thumb!
I know this is an old video, but I am excited for the upcoming JX6 II (a little bit bigger).
Did you get it yet?? I ordered one this past weekend....makes me want to figure out a way to get out and do videos again. Moved to North Carolina and I'm in a bit more populated area.
Little bigger and a lot more money. Still want one though.
Quick, get your carry permit!
hi I know that I am out of time to expect an answer but I try the same, I was willing to buy this knife but I do not like the black covers at all and very often they do not allow the use of the firesteel, without the black cover it is improved in use with the firesteel? another thing how long did you wait between one layer and the other in applying the patina? thank you
Thnx, Bruv..I have the bravo 1 in CPM 3V, and I am considering this tool more now from your vid 🔥 You won yourself a fan with your comment about the knife safety and potential cuts 😂 One knows, after a while, what to do and what not to do ☮️
Hi. This is the first time I’ve seen the CTec handles. I haven’t seen them on any other channels. I have to say they are fantastic looking. If I had a knife made, I would order CTec for sure. Enjoying your channel.
I like your cap.
Hi. Great vid. Love the testing and I love the Barkies. They are art for sure.
Should have used wilson tennis wrap for better grib because it doesn't slide up or down the handle.
I actually wanted to do a follow up, I upgraded to micarta scales so its a non issue now. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Plenty of room in the Ionosphere. You have to do everything in the horizontal position. There is no sitting up or cooking inside the tent, but it is still a nice little tent. If you know that the temperature is below your bags rating, why didn't you prepare for that by bringing a liner, warmer sleeping clothes, reflecting blanket, insulated pad, etc.? Sleeping cold just shows lack of knowledge and preparation.
Thats an amazing analysis, did you type that all by yourself?
Nice knife!
Tell ya a story back 20yrs ago I bought a new wolverine my buddy had a 400 sportsman he couldn't keep up with me so next year Polaris came out with a 500 sportsman he bought one and I still dusted him boy was he passed lol
Thats great, i wish i could have added some better suspension...that thing flew.
Awesome knife!
The Knockout is the first knife I spent over $30 and is my favorite every day carry. It's light and the blade is awesome.
I absolutely love mine! I see why they've sold so many of them now. What a great knife!
agreed, i made this mistake of selling mine to fun another...its an endless cycle.
Early BK16 had a saber grind ? When did they change ? How did you strip only the blade, looks cool that way..
it doesnt have a sabre grind...i used a work sharp and it left that mark on there. kinda mad about it, but its a flat grind. I used painters tape around the handle where i didnt want to strip the coating off. thanks for watching
Did you make a video of you customizing it?
I did not, i customized that knife long before i started making videos. thanks for watching!
inch and a half loger exists, its called bk7...
Indeed
Great review. I really like that blade!
I own the chinese version and I'm shocked with their retention and tenacity.
this knife is more tactical for knife fight, not for bushcraft
Its for whatever I want it to be for.
I really want one now, thanks
Why would you make a chopping knife out of D2?
CFK are hand forged by elves from magic mystery steel.
In Europe even a Ring at a knife is often forbidden because you can use the ring as brass knuckles... no joke that’s the explanation but you can wear 1 fat rings on every finger without a problem.... 🤷♀️
If you only have one knife to choose I believe this will be it. I own one for a few years now and it honestly does everything. Of course a lt Wright gen would be better but it doesn’t have the weight to chop like a bk2. You can honestly chop some wood down, baton and break some wood down, then make some kindle and start a fire. When I go to the woods I carry my bk2, my bahco saw and my mora bushcraft. That’s my set up and I can build and start a fire with kink problems.
I just bought the Bushcrafter II in 3V and black C-Tec and mosaic pins. Your knife is beautiful. Looking forward to getting mine.
It's 80crv2 carbon steel as well,I'm waiting to order me a bark river bravo alpha exclusive special order with black Lenin micarta handle scales, then I'm getting me a skrama soon as my big chopper bush knife to substitute like a hatchet, it's a no bullshit knife, at least that's the moto in Finland.
Nice knife, I have a puukko knife from terava jaakaripukko from Finland, 5.5 Inch blade, full tang with a scandi grind, nice sheath for it too.
I have that knife too. Great knife. Which one do you have? I have the 110. I also have the Skrama, which is great
I know its late but Kershaw sent me a deep carry clip for free when I asked them.
Good to know, i will try that next time, thank you!
Why do you take the finish off
To me it looks better and performs better as slicing. The coating is quite rough and creates drag when slicing.
@@TheLankyWoodsman oh ok thanks!.....another question. You can't use a ferro rid because of that coating . So can you just remove the coating off the top flat side down say 2 inches to expose a sharp corner. ? To enable you to use a ferro rod on the knife?
Yes, i have done that one of my smaller knives, works fine.
Is $200 a good deal for one in a2?
I would say so yes, things vary based on steel and handle material
@@TheLankyWoodsman your ctek is unique, but I found a nice one in green micarta on ebay. I understand it's discontinued now. I justbstarted to look more into BR as I havent been very interested or in the market for one of their knives before. But this ones a purr beast that I just want to invest in. Not just own lol.
I own one in A2 steel & absolutely love it!
I agree with you! I wish they'd come out with a 7" version of the BK 2. Ethan could call it the BK 27.
@@dylanwesley7354 I hacked up some firewood with the Becker BK2.🤷
why didnt you batton on the log behind you @7.20 ?
Beauty knife! :) enjoyed the vid
Really nice knife! How did you remove the coating on the blade?
I took off the handle scales, taped off the part that is covered by the handles and then used a paint stripper to remove the coating and used yellow mustard to create a patina.
